"It's Not Just About Dance.
We Motivate, We Mentor, We Make Memories."
Howell Academy of Dance has been a leader in dance education since 1984. The exceptional faculty of qualified teachers gives the students exposure to a wide range of experience, techniques and styles. Students participate in an annual performance to show parents and friends their achievements.
The “Diamond Dancers Dance Co.” of Howell Academy is composed of dancers ages 6-19. These dancers demonstrate special qualities of creativity and performance ability. They are also offered many opportunities from the studio to enhance their dance experiences.
The Academy’s three dance studio locations in NJ have been operating for over 23 years. The director and staff have performed, directed and judged many events. The studio teaches ballet, pointe, tap, jazz, hip-hop, break, musical theater and lyrical.
Dancers from Howell Academy have won countless National and International awards. They have performed in The Nutcracker on Broadway, Walt Disney World, Universal Studios, Montreal, Canada, New York’s annual Tap-O-Mania and on Royal Caribbean Cruise lines. They also appeared on Fox Five’s “After Breakfast with Vicki Lawrence” and GoodDay NY. The students have supported and performed for the following: Dance for Diabetes, Make a Wish Foundation, The Rainbow Foundation, Adopt A Pet, Ronald McDonald House, Retirement Homes, Local Fairs and Dance for America which help raise money for family victims of September 11th. Students from Howell Academy have gone on to careers including dancing internationally, touring companies, teachers at colleges and Broadway Dance Center.
The success from the studios has given the owner, April Bamonte, the opportunity to live her dream of passing on the training and experiences her students deserve.
